Preds looking to win Game 4 against Ducks in Nashville

The Nashville Predators wouldn't have made it to overtime in Game 4 of the Western Conference final without P.K. Subban, but the superstar defenseman still caught an unlucky break in OT.

The Ducks did everything they could to give away Game 4 to the Predators, but in the end, Corey Perry showed up once again in overtime to potentially save Anaheim's season.

The Predators were always able to remain in touch with goalie Pekka Rinne making 19 saves for the win, with the Ducks' John Gibson blocking 38 shots.

The result ended the Predators' 10-game winning streak at home in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Filip Forsberg tied it up at 3:54 of the third as the Predators rallied for the win against an Anaheim team that has notched four comeback victories already when trailing by multiple goals this postseason.

Rickard Rakell and Nick Ritchie staked the Ducks to a 2-0 lead. With Nashville enjoying the advantage of last change, the Predators' top line was matched up primarily against a Ducks first line centered by captain Ryan Getzlaf. But thanks to Perry, they're still very much alive in the Western Conference Finals. It was the fourth time this postseason Gibson has stopped at least 94 percent of the shots he's faced in a game. He now has seven goals and 12 points in the playoffs. Perry's a proven playoff performer, having helped the Ducks win the 2007 Stanley Cup.

The Ducks killed off five penalties, including a 5 on 3 in the third.

The Anaheim Ducks are 10-16 in their last 26 road games against the Nashville Predators. "But we did a good job killing the 5 on 3 and even after the goal we managed to get the job done".

"We're trying to become consistent with that identity", said Laviolette, who added it took until the last two months of the season before the team finally found consistency.

And they were. It was another stellar entry into Cam Fowler's burgeoning scrapbook, and Manson played excellently, save for his icing infraction that preceded Forsberg's tying goal. "You can't score if you don't get pucks towards the net with traffic and second opportunities", Perry told reporters. "There were times when we made a couple of plays and before you know it then you can get them spread out because their first two forwards are so aggressive". Forsberg tied a franchise record with his seventh goal this postseason. There have been multiple games where they blew the lead and lost the game. Mattias Ekholm's initial shot deflected off Viktor Arvidsson in front of the Anaheim net, and Josi knocked home the rebound. When you're 31 (now 32) and the league is speeding up while you're not getting any faster, and the coach decides that the team you've been a first-line player on for a decade is suddenly better off with you on the third line?
