Final Four matchups that could make the difference

South Carolina's adjusted defensive efficiency ranks second in the country, trailing only Gonzaga's.

I don't know anyone that had these four teams in the Final Four, but I am excited for both games.

I'll also point to tournament experience and draw on my own time at Kentucky when looking at this Final Four.

SC head coach Frank Martin walks around in the locker room before a practice session for their NCAA Final Four tournament college basketball semifinal game Friday, March 31, 2017, in Glendale, Ariz. Silva is an inch shorter and more than 75 pounds lighter than Gonzaga's big man. Keeping those two out of foul trouble while getting help from everyone else will be a big key Saturday. "So they come up with a great game plan, and then I call it scouting report defense - apply the scouting report on as many possessions as possible".

Now that the 1-seeded Bulldogs have finally reached this level, it's time for them to capitalize and put the finishing touches on a one-loss season.

1 seed Gonzaga (7-5) has a slight edge over No. 1 seed North Carolina (8-5) to win the national title. "We got the bulk, the strength, size of Karnowski, which allows us to not have to double-team". If Jay Bilas can only get one out of the final four correct and Joe Lunardi and Seth Greenberg can't manage any then how are we expected to fare well? Gonzaga is 36-1 on the season while contrasting that the Gamecocks went 26-10.

South Carolina's Sindarius Thornwell has been the star of the tournament. "That's probably the biggest adjustment that we'll make". "No one knew anything about us and here we were going up against big schools and having success". And if you turn them into a jump shooting team you have a chance.

Mosul massacre aftermath: US-led coalition 'failing to protect civilians'
More than 200,000 civilians have fled west Mosul in the past month, according to Iraqi authorities. They ran this city for two-and-a-half years and they were rarely targeted during all that time.

Wilson treasures those. She's landed SEC Player of the Year and All-America honors in 2016 and 2017, averaging a team-high 17.9 points along with 7.4 rebounds this season. South Carolina's fifth- and sixth-leading scorers, Maik Kotsar and Rakym Felder, are freshmen. "Just the physicality of it, we have to guard and not let them get easy paint touches".

- The spread has ticked up a half-point from -6.5, where it resided for most of the week, even though the underdog Gamecocks have received 54 percent of the spread bets, according to Sports Insights.

"We have been working on it all week, just trying to find ways to exploit their defense", Gonzaga's Johnathan Williams said. "If we wanted to do things individually, we would have just stayed where we were at". It's been a remarkable rise for the 6-foot-5 senior, a four-star recruit and SC native who put his trust in coach Frank Martin to decide to stay home and play for the Gamecocks despite their lack of historical success.

Teaira McCowan, Mississipi State: Sophomore center (13.3 PPG) helps Bulldogs average nearly 90 points per game. "You can get some pictures with these guys, and they throw me in as an extra".

Martin said his global team would have no problem with a traditional champion visit to the White House despite US President Donald Trump's recent immigration crackdown. However, they can overcome that because all five of UConn's players are so versatile defensively that they can switch on defense without losing too much. The Gamecocks also hadn't had a player win conference player of the year since John Roche did it in the ACC in 1970.

As individual matchups go, this is a good one.
